Blog: Album Fundraising Campaign!

Dear music lovers: In the next few weeks, I'll be launching an online fundraising campaign for my full length album through IndieGoGo (link) - it's like Kickstarter but works in Canada. Multiple Grammy-winner and Juno-winner John Whynot (Blue Rodeo, Dave Matthews, Lucinda Williams) in on board to produce the album - now I need your help to bring my dream of recording a full-length album to life! In exchange for donations (starting as low as $5) and showing your support, I'll be offering awesome perks like exclusive songs, autographed albums, private in-home concerts, special merch, and more. Stay tuned for more news!

Kristen is "One Of Five Canadian Musicians Poised to break out in 2012"

The National Post: "Five Canadian musicians poised to break out in 2012"

By: Bernard Perusse, December 22 2011

"Kristen Bussandri has, pointedly, titled one of her songs, If You Don’t Love Me, You’re Wrong. And her growing fan base seems to be making the case that no one likes to be wrong. The Montreal-based singer-songwriter released her debut EP this year, and the disc got a welcome boost when the Stingray-owned music service, Galaxie, played some of its tracks for the millions of homes plugged into its channels via cable, satellite or streaming outlets. CBC Radio has also shown interest. Bussandri’s songs do, indeed, sound radio-ready, notably the stripped-down Pebble, and the EP’s title track, Diamonds to Dust, both of which remind us that country music is timeless and need not be ruined by machines and song doctors. A healthy dose of soft rock and Southern soul should make her work appealing to crossover audiences of all ages. Bussandri said she expects to have a full-length album recorded and ready by May, with a coast-to-coast tour following its release. “I want to continue on this journey of exploring the human heart,” she said.  link
